This is my entry for the Sarah Kay Weekly challenge and we had another great sketch, papers are Papermaina (blog candy win from Sue thanks), Buttons are papermania, flowers are prima, brads are from Poppicrafts, charm from CraftyKrafts, image Sarah Kay, ribbon from stash, and I've went back to my prisma pencils and chalked around the edges of the image.

This is my entry for the Tilda Challenge. This weeks challenge was Christmas, well by chance I bought this stamp last week, so it worked out well for me. Papers are Craftwork cards, ribbon from stash, image Magnolia, plastic peg, was from Wilkinson's and I think it was 49 pence for a little box of them. Sentiment from stash. I have used stickles for the hat and wings.

A spoonfull of Sugar

This weeks challenge was recycle! I received some charms yesterday that I ordered and they came beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and ribbon wrapped round the package with a charm attached, so I've re-used the ribbon and charm on my card. My Entry for Friday Sketchers

Hello everyone, sorry, with it being the school holidays, I just haven't had much time to make cards or blog. I have tried to leave comments for everyone, on your blogs. This was a hard challenge for me and I wasn't going to do it, but I thought I'd give it a try. It took ages to curl the paper around the image. I usually make neat cards, and don't do all the distressing. This is also the first time I've coloured in with the Pro Markers, they are very different to water colour pencils. I've took a close up as well, you can then see all the mistakes I've made. Still not sure if I like them? Thanks for looking and any comments you may leave. Hugs Jill xx

Really enjoyed working with Katharina's sketch and I will be using it again. Image is an Elizabeth Stamp by Sugar Nellie. I just love Elizabeth's stamps and can't wait to see what she creates for Whiff of Joy. Papers are Laura Ashley and Craftwork Cards. Well I'm chuffed as I've made 2 xmas cards (that's 3 in total) I always leave them to the last minute, but now I've got into stamping and we have the new Honey and Pip stamps by Sugar Nellie, I've enjoyed making them and I didn't feel pressured lol.

Just for Fun

The sketch is one 0f 5 by Teits and I loved using it. Stamps is Elizabeth by Sugar Nellie, Papers are Papermania and Laura Ashley Flowers are Prima and cardstock DCWV. I do like this card but I'm not sure about the colours these are not papers I usually use, they are quite dark for me, but I'm trying out new things. I've coloured in the image with my new Prisma pencils, which I'm finding hard but it depends on what paper I've used as to how they blend? But it fun trying. My Dad (Brian Nicholson) 1951-2003

Well not too sure how to start this post.It's 5 years today since my Dad died. It's hard to explain but this anniversary has been harder than all the others. This photo is of me and my dad, it's not the best because we had both been crying, and I'd put on weight comfort eating. He really was the best, he could fix anything, he was always there for me. Seeing him disappear before my eyes was one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through. He was 52 when he died of cancer (Mesothemolia) when he was 17 he had worked in the Ship yards lagging pipes with asbestosis, and this is what caused the cancer. Love you dad xxxxx

Cute Card Thursday The Great Outdoors

This is my entry for CCT I wasn't sure where to start with this challenge at first, but once I'd chose my image it started to come together. All the papers are K&Co the flowers are papermania the sentiment is Craftwork cards, the lace is from my stash. I've done afew things I've never tried before with this card, inking around the image and ripping my paper. I know this has been around for ages, but I usually stick to what I know. I'm still not too sure, but I'm enjoying trying new things out. Phew 3 posts in 1 day! Thanks for all your lovely comments Jill x
